The day started out like a pretty nice, sunny and great day. We had a nice breakfast and a bike ride up to the big bridge and watched the boats. We stopped at the Haas' to see how they were doing and all was fine with them too.
Then the big idea to try and find 3 geochaches was put into motion. We did so good at finding the one a couple of days ago! The first one was near the fishing pier and all we found was a big nothing, but at least we got a picture of ourselves....
Then we headed for the jungle on the north tip of the island. What could be so hard about that??? Did I forget to mention fire ants, bad directions, sand spurs and heat!! Over two hours of wandering and wandering and all we got was, blood, sweat and tears. Here is Cheryl just before her knee went bad....
We made it out alive and decided to head back to camp, while we were still in one piece. While making dinner we even got to see a dolphin swim by and had a cool visitor who seemed to want to check out the steaks.
We ended the day with a beauty sun set and a campfire, while we sang Kum Ba Yah. It was just enough to take the sting out of the fire ant bites.
