Oct . 24th hanging out with family

Back in Dallas GA and hanging out with the Family. This, that and pumpkin carving.
Nothing like a good spoonful of pumpkin stuffing!  LOL
Pumpkin races?
Project time.

Oct. 23, 2015 The Zombies are coming!

We headed north and met Jamie,Melissa and grand kids, for a Zombie Race on Perry GA. Of course we had to start off with a little BBQ at Martins!

What a great venue for a Zombie Race, they had it all, including burning cars, helicopters and fallen buildings.
Cheryl met a few new friends.

We thought, what can we do with the kids while Jamie and Melissa race with the Zombies? Not to fear dinosoars and bubbles always work well.

Nice neighborhood!

Oct 19th, 2015 Fort DeSoto

How did this happen, we are back at Fort DeSoto, for a few days of R and R. It's like coming home.

Oct. 18, 2015 Pop's 89th

Low and behold Dad is celebrating his 89th birthday and we are lucky enough to be there to be part of it. We were part of a nice group of people, with maybe the exception of one.
See what I mean???? Even with that, a good time was had by all.(as Winnie Myers used to say.)

Then it was time for the cake and the cutting of the cake.
Good cake, good food and good company! Here is the birthday boy....
And the tribe:

Happy Birthday!

Oct. 12, 2015 Naples or Bust

We headed south and had Naples Florida as our destination, the home of Dad and Juan. We did some visiting, some puttering and some partying! They have found a wonderful spot and home to enjoy their retirement.

Dad and I started off with a little puttering, just like the old days! Started in the bedroom and worked ourselves outside.
Wouldn't be any fun if we didn't screw up at least once! Who put those pipes there???
This is what happens to the floor when Dad taps in a carpet tack!  LOL
Time to bring in the big guns.
Nice looking lattice.

We did a little more puttering, but that's another story for another time.

Oct. 11, 2015 Pumpkin Picking

It's time for a run south to see the kids, the grand kids, Dad and even Fort DeSoto. Our first stop was Dallas and the grand kids. Wow oh wow how these two kids have grown, where does the time go?
Off we go, to find the perfect pumpkin!
