Here Comes The Sun

Started out to a cool over cast day, with a ride to Megs Point and a walk on the trail along the sea. WOW... We never realized just how far this trail went or how beautiful walk could be. It reminded us both oh The Marginal Way in Maine, which made it even more special. Great rocks, plant life, birds and special builds from other hikers.

From there we decided to hunt down a couple geo caches, we found two out of the three we looked for.

The weather turned sunny and hot so off to the beach.

And of course another sunset!

Rain Rain Go Away

Baby some rain must fall...... But why when are on vacation? Not a total loss, we needed supplies and enjoy beach walks in the rain. 

On the way home we just happened to find a BBQ joint. I wonder how that happens?

Another Beauty Day

We were lucky once again and had another great weather day. Headed out to Megs Point on the bikes and took a stroll along the Connecticut version of the Marginal Way. Beautiful spot and Cheryl even got to trim a few special berry bushes, for her Mom. They both are hired by the State to trim these from time to time. 

Was a bit too warm for bike riding so it was off to the beach for the rest of the day.

Warmest Day of the Summer

EWhat better way to spend the warmest day of the year than swimming all day at Hammonasset Beach. That is just what we did and the water was perfect.

Took a nice bike ride and then hit Lenny and Joe's Fishtale for some great seafood.

Back to camp just in time for a nice sunset.

Disney December 2014

Not sure why this never posted, but better late them never .

Back to Disney for an early Christmas and be part of Ashton's first year visit to Disney. Having a great time and again amazed and happy seeing and being with the grand kids. Addi continues being a bundle of joy and her brother never stops bringing smiles to our faces. Alway great being with Jamie and Melissa! Here are just some assorted pictures, no ryme or reason.

Back at It

Been really slacken off on the blog, missed the whole summer of great camping at Mongaup Pond and a few spring camping trips to The Promise Land and Cheesequake, but hope to get back on track!

Well the summer of 2015 is in the book and we camped eight out if the nine weekends so it was a good camping summer. 

Mostly Mongaup Pond and that is a good thing.

Made a run to the Balloon and Spedie Festival too!

Now we have arrived at one if our favorite spots .... Hammonasset. Looks like a good week of relax ahead!
