Florida Christmas 2007

We finally out ran the rain as we round Washington DC. We are glad to be in good weather as we head south on I95.
We were glad to look down and see we still had over a half tank of fuel as we read this sign.

Turned out to be a great bridge with wonderful sights as we went. This bride is south on 275 as you leave Tampa.
We were gald to get to our site in Fort DeSoto Park. We had great weather for December and the days reached 81 to 85 every day we were there. Camping right on the Gulf is great.

Florida Christmas 2007

Oh life can be tough when you camp. This is what they call North Beach at Fort DeSoto park. White sand and refreshing Gulf water, we swam every day we were here.
Nothing like looking out and seeing two dolphins swimming past your campsite.

This was our breakfast nook.
We even got to build a snowman. We missed the snow storm in NY and figured this was the next best thing to being there.
One of the things I really love about the west coast of Florida, on the Gulf. There is just nothing like the sunsets!!! Any of these pictures that are posted can be enlarged, just by clicking on them.

Florida 2007 for Christmas

Looking north on North Beach. Seemed a bit crowded, but we managed the best we could.
This is looking south on North Beach and it was just about as crowded there.
This was just another ordinary sunset.
I wasn't sure if he was looking at me as his next meal or not, as I laid on the beach.
That first little open spot to the left is the entrance to our campsite. If you like pavement, then you are going to hate this place!!!

Leave the beach and head to Disney

We pulled into this rest stop on I4 east on our way to Disney. We were glad to have our own bathroom in the View.
It always nice to see a plane parked on the sidw of the road as you travel.
This was our little Christmas in Fort Wilderness, which we celibrated on Dec. 17th. Kids couldn't get home so we all met in Disney.
The class A guys really know how to decorate a site.

Even the little ducks have the run of the place at Wilderness Lodge in Disney.
