Few Random Pictures along the ride

First Landing State Park

What a great find this place is!!! After you leave the bridge tunnel you turn left and a couple of miles and there you are. 222 campsites in the dunes and a short couple of steps to the ocean all for like 24 bucks a night. VA Beach is just a couple of miles south and works out good.

Few Sights from the Ferry

It was worth the price, just to enjoy the hour and a half ride...

Dreamfinder Goes Sailing

We took Dreamfinder for a little trip on the Cape May Ferry and what a great time it was. We got lucky and were put in line 13 for the loading. Here are a few pics of the trip. Shows us in line, loading, below deck, few shots along the way and unloading.

We did our tourist thing and went to the World of Coke in Atlanta. We even got to see Wolfgang Puck there.

Found a nice campsite

We stayed at McKinnie Campground, which we think was Fed, here is a shot of our site.

Blue Ridge Mountains

Some Pictures

Up In The Mountains

Got on the road Wed. Oct. 10th and headed south along Route 81 till we got to the Sky Line Drive in VA. They hit us a cool 15 bucks to use the road and it goes a little over 100 miles, but for someone who is afraid of heights, what a 100 miles!!! We were impressed with their lack of guard rails, it really gives you the feel of the land.

We pulled over around 4:00 at the Mathew's Arm State Campground for the night. Another 15 bucks and we were good for the night. Nice level sites and plenty of woods. Up and back on the road in the morning, with The Sky Line Drive, turning into The Blue Ridge Parkway. Max speed 45mph and you are hard pressed to hit that! Brings a whole new meaning to meandering along. Plenty of wild life, so far we have seen, a mother bear and cub, deer, turkey, squirrels(mother nature's little speed bumps), buzzards and even a crow.

We found good old Peaks of Otter Creek Campground at marker 85, a cool 16 bucks and we were set for the night. Was a bit cool so we had a nice campfire and hot coffee after dinner.
